DigiYatra App: How to Avail services, All about contactless travel experience at airports

'DigiYatra' is a Biometric Enabled Seamless Travel experience (BEST) based on Facial Recognition Techlogy for identification of travelers in order to pass through various checkpoints which would be linked to boarding pass. It aims to provide a paperless and seamless travel experience to passengers.
passengers' entry would be automatically processed based on facial recognition system at all checkpoints including entry into airport, security check areas, aircraft boarding, etc with help of this techlogy.

DigiYatra will furr make boarding process significantly faster and more seamless as each passenger would require less than three seconds at every touchpoint. ir face would act as ir documents, like ID proof, Vaccine proof, and also act as a boarding pass.
This techlogy will also ensure enhanced security at airport as passenger data is validated with Airlines Departure control System, reby only designated passengers can enter terminal. entire process is n-intrusive and automatic leing to optimization of staff for stakeholders like CISF, airlines and ors.

How To avail DigiYatra facility?
- In order to avail DigiYatra app, firstly passengers will have to downlo DigiYatra app. beta version of DigiYatra app is presently available at Playstore (for Android platform). same app will be available at App Store (for IOS platform) in a few weeks' time.
- After downloing app, users can register on app using Ahaar credentials, followed by a selfie with Ahaar card for verification.
- Following verification, vaccination details using CoWIN credentials will have to be ded to app.
- users n will have to scan ir boarding pass with QR code or Bar code, after which credentials will be shared with airport.
- passengers will need to scan ir boarding passes at e-gate for entry into airport, and look into facial recognition system camera installed re. A similar method will be available for entry into or checkpoints.
Delhi & Bengaluru International Airport launches DigiYatra app
Following Government of India's guidelines to provide contactless, seamless processing of passengers at Airports, Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) on Monday anunced launch of a beta version of DigiYatra app for Android platform.
Delhi Airport is among first few airports to introduce this system in country. DIAL h installed required facility at Terminal 3 of Delhi Airport and alrey conducted its trials.
Nearly 20,000 passengers h a seamless and secure travel experience after using facility during trials. Domestic passengers flying from Terminal 3 by any airline can downlo app and register mselves for a seamless travel experience at airport.

Videh Kumar Jaipuriar, CEO-DIAL stated, "DigiYatra is a unique initiative of Government of India, coordinated by Ministry of Civil Aviation. It is in line with Prime Minister's vision to transform nation into a digitally empowered society. Delhi Airport is among first few airports of country which are rey with facial recognition system. system is going to give a seamless experience to passengers. FRS will save passengers from process of identity checks at multiple points and encour m to travel paperless and also enhance safety at airport", reported ANI.
As per Bangalore International Airport Ltd (BIAL), DigiYatra system is operational and being rolled out at full scale for all domestic airlines at Kempegowda International Airport’s (KIA) e-gates, and all checkpoints for domestic travel are also being covered. At present, Vistara and AirAsia India are integrated with DigiYatra at KIA.

DigiYatra will be soon operational at Varanasi, Pune, Vijayawa, Kolkata, and Hyderab airports.
