Google on Thursday announced the launch of new Jobs effort at the company's annual 'Google or India' event in new Delhi. Google's new Jobs effort focuses on entry-level jobs that are not easily discoverable on the internet. Entry-level job listings will be available as a Spot on Google Pay. This way, job seekers can find and prepare for entry-level positions that fit their needs.

Google said it uses machine learning systems to recommend jobs and training content. Users can also help themselves prepare for interviews and learn new skills using new Jobs tool. It will also allow users to apply for the jobs directly from Google Pay. It allows users to schedule interviews and 'engage directly with potential employers.'
"Enabling economic opportunities for every Indian also means helping people prepare for jobs and connecting them with the right opportunities," said Caesar Sen Gupta, Vice-President, Next Billion Users Initiative and Payments.
In related news, Google also announced to set up the AI research lab in Bengaluru. Google said the initiative would advance fundamental computer science research in the country. Google India Research will also collaborate closely with several academic institutions across the country.
