Google Pay to soon enable debit/credit card payments for Indian users?
Google Pay will reportedly be introducing the new credit/debit card payment option for Indian users which has been a prominent feature for international users.

Google Pay (Formerly kwn as Google Tez) is evidently one of prominent online payment systems in India. Google Pay or GPay as it is commonly regarded as has to some extent become a rm for people to carry out ir day-to-day transactions. However, unlike international version of application, GPay in India does t allow users to carry out transactions based on stored debit/credit cards but relies on UPI (Unified Payment Interface) system which allows users to link ir bank accounts to application. w, Android Police has reported that Google Pay will be soon rolling out card payment option in India.

However, some support ps have gone live on application's website which reveals that as of w, only Axis Visa cards and SBI Visa credit and debit cardholders can carry out card payments on applications. settings mentioned to access in support p has t been rolled out for everyone. Open Google Pay

Head to Settings > Payment Methods > Add card

Enter Card Details (card number, expiry date, CVV, cardholder's name, etc.)

Tap Save and verify card

Enter one-time password and n users will be able to carry out card payments through GPay

As of w, only limited users have been given card payment option on Google Pay. It is expected that feature will roll out for majority of users. Android Police reports that since card details are sensitive in nature, all details filled in by user will be tokenized in order to preserve user's data during transactions.
