Of late, the online battle royale game PlayerUnknown's BattleRoyale, famously known as PUBG, is making the headlines for all the wrong reasons. According to reports citing a Facebook post, a man decided to choose PUBG over his family. Apparently, he also left his pregnant wife because he failed to make things work due to his addiction to PUBG.

However, we were not able to verify the authenticity of the claims made in the Facebook post since the identity of neither husband nor wife was revealed.
In the recent development, Goa Information Technology Minister Rohan Khaunte said a law was needed in the state to curb PUBG. Of late, voices calling a ban on PUBG in India are getting louder amid controversies.

Recently, an 11-year-old boy filed a PIL in Bombay High Court seeking a ban on PUBG after PM Modi's 'Pariksha Pe Charcha 2.0' where a concerned parent turned up seeking guidance on how she could keep her son, a Class IX student, away from online gaming.
Last week, an 18-year-old teenager in Mumbai recently committed suicide when his parents refused to buy him a new mobile phone to play PUBG. And psychiatrists have advised parents ways to deal with their children's addiction to PUBG game.
