When feature was introduced in India, social media giant released a statement saying that ability to lock a Facebook profile is a feature that has been designed for Indian users, especially women, who wish to have more control over ir Facebook experience. Here are simple steps you need to follow to lock your Facebook profile from stalkers:

Step 1: Launch Facebook on your device.

Once you have followed above steps, your profile will get locked and it will also display a mess saying that profile has been locked whenever a stranger visits your profile. However, you can always choose to remove profile lock and apply a bunch of or privacy and security settings to your account.
Before introducing a profile lock feature, Facebook alrey h an option called ‘Profile Picture Guard’ which allowed users to lock ir profile picture from profile visitors. feature is still available and it essentially prevents profile visitors from viewing or downloing a profile photo on ir devices.
