Red Dead Redemption 2 on Top of Players’ Minds in November 2018: What Could the Future Hold for Call of Duty and Fallout

Red Dead Redemption 2 which was recently seeded the online multiplayer beta, has topped the Sony PlaySTation 4 (PS4) charts for the month of November 2018 with respect to securing the highest number of downloads. At this juncture, it is also worth noting that Red Dead Redemption 2 also garnered Rockstar Games multiple awards, in the Performance, Narrative, Soundtrack, and Audio Design categories at the recent Game Awards 2018.

Now, as far as the game’s popularity on PS4 is concerned, Sony states that the title was followed closely by Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and Fallout 76. The other games taking the remaining spots on the PlayStation most downloaded game lists for November 2018 include the likes of Battlefield 5, FIFA 19, Spyro Reignited Trilogy, God of War, NBA 2K19, Marvel’s Spider Man, and The Last of US Remastered.

At this juncture, it is worth noting that God of War bagged the Game of the Year title at the Game Awards. As far as PS VR is concerned, Beat Saber was the most downloaded and played title by gamers on the platform. Creed: Rise to Glory and Job Simulator were the next popular games(downloaded) in the VR category.

Here, it is worth noting that the prestigious game awards saw a surprise in the form of Florence bagging the mobile game of the year title piping the likes of PUBG Mobile and Fortnite. As far as the latter is concerned, it bagged the best multiplayer and ongoing mae awards t the Game Awards.

The survival mobile game was also the most searched game in the US in 2018 (in Google Trends). As per this data, Red Dead Redemption 2 came in second place followed by Fallout 76, Far Cry 5, and God of War in third, fourth, and fifth places respectively. The generic searches were topped by search term such as Hurricane Florence, Kate Spade, Anthony Bourdain, and Mac Miller respectively.
