'Remove China Apps' races to 1 million downloads; gives solution to Sonam Wangchuk's call
Since its release on May 17, the 'Remove China Apps' app has already garnered massive support and has crossed one million downloads in less than two weeks

Following rising tensions between India and China and escalating discontent against country worldwide, a Jaipur-based startup in India has launched an application called Remove China Apps. This app developed by OneTouchAppLabs detects apps made in China on users' phones and provides a simple UI to remove m. Since its release on May 17, app has already garnered massive support and has crossed one million downloads in less than two weeks. It is currently top free app available on Google PlayStore, available for free.

Following its success, creators have stated that y are w looking towards developing a techlogy to detect China-based bloatware as well in next version of app. Currently, app can only be downloaded by android users.
'Uninstall Chinese Software, Boycott Hardware': Sonam Wangchuk's call
A few days ago, Engineer turned education reformer Sonam Wangchuk posted a mess on Twitter encouraging citizens to drop use of Chinese software "within a week", In a mess that went viral on platform he said — "Cheen ko Jawaab, Sena degi bullet se, Naagrik dengey wallet se (Answer to China will be given by soldiers with ir bullets and citizens with ir wallets)".

Speaking to Republic TV on Friday, Sonam Wangchuk said Chinese actions on border with India are a result of domestic dissatisfaction over Chinese government's handling of COVID-19 crisis. He encourd people to drop use of all Chinese software "within a week", like video-sharing platform Tik Tok. Sonam said Indians have freedom to choose what y spend on with ir wallet and if a country doesn't treat India fairly n y should use boycotts as "personal ecomic sanctions".
Drawing inspiration from Sonam Wangchuk, actor and supermodel Milind Soman anunced that he is ‘ longer on Tiktok.’ video-sharing application has highest number of users in India. As per a study conducted in June 2019, re are more than 120 million Tiktok users in country. If many Indians quit Tiktok, Wangchuk believes it has potential of burning a hole in Chinese firm’s pocket.
