SHOCKING: 16-year old ended his life after parents scolded him for playing PUBG during exams

A class X student in Hyderabad allegedly committed suicide after his mother scolded him for playing PUBG. The boy was addicted to playing PUBG, Police said.

A class X student in Hyderabad allegedly committed suicide after his mother scolded him for playing PUBG. The boy was addicted to playing PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) on his parents' mobile phone, Police said.

The boy's mother "scolded" him for playing PUBG during exams after which he went into the bedroom and bolted the door from inside and hanged himself from the ceiling fan using a towel. He was 16.

As there was no response to repeated knocks, the boy's parents broke open the door only to find him hanging. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead on arrival. The boy's father filed a complaint.

The case was registered under Section 174 of the Code Of Criminal Procedure.

This is not the first time PUBG addiction has claimed someone's life. Earlier, an 18-year-old teenager in Mumbai committed suicide after his parents refused to buy him a new mobile phone to play PUBG.

Last month, two men engrossed in playing PUBG Mobile near the railway tracks lost their lives after they were run over by a train.

Of late, PUBG is at the centre of controversy due to many such shocking incidents that have come to limelight and Many experts have labelled the game of PUBG as violent and addictive in nature.

There is also growing discomfort among parents and teachers because of PUBG There is also this aggression among the players who tend to get violent and reckless at times.

We have heard about so many cases where people were aggressive in terms of not just the gameplay but also outside of the game. Earlier, a man attacked his fiancee's brother with a knife after draining out his cell phone's battery while playing PUBG.

This is the extent to which the addiction to the game has reached, especially in India where parents have often been seen concerned about their children's addiction to mobile gaming.
