SHOCKING: 19-year-old shot dead while filming TikTok video, three arrested

According to police, a 19-year-old was shot dead by his friend in Delhi while posing with a pistol to film a video on TikTok.

Of late, China’s ByteDance is facing legal trouble in India amid a looming ban on popular video-sharing app TikTok. According to police, a 19-year-old young man was shot dead by his friend in Delhi while posing with a pistol to film a video on TikTok.

incident took place near Ranjit Singh Flyover in central Delhi on Saturday when three friends Salman, Sohail and Amir went out for a drive. Salman and Sohail were seated in front seats while Amir was seated in rear seat of car. Sohail pulled out a country-made pistol and aimed at Salman who was driving car, to film a TikTok video. However, pistol went off shooting Salman on his left Cheek.

However, instead of taking Salman to a hospital, Sohail and Amir drove to Sohail’s relatives' place in Daryaganj where Sohail changed his blood-stained clos. Salman was n taken to Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan Hospital where doctors declared him dead.

A murder case and a case under Arms Act have been registered at Barakhamba Police Station. Police arrested Sohail for firing bullet while Amir was arrested for disposing of weapon. Sharif who was t present at spot when incident occurred was arrested for disposing of blood-stained clos.

However, Police said y are furr probing into wher bullet was fired accidentally or with an intent to kill.

“Two of his friends came last night and asked him to go to Indian Gate along with m following which Salman took his car and left. We received information about incident from police and reached hospital,” Salman’s relative said.

Earlier this month, Madras High Court directed centre to impose a nationwide ban on TikTok as court raised concern over "porgraphic and inappropriate content" being made available through such apps. Supreme Court of India has agreed to hear a plea challenging a Madras High Court order that directed government to ban TikTok app.
