Following tensions on border with China, Sonam Wangchuk h initiated ‘Boycott Chinese goods’ movement last month, encouraging people of India to give up Chinese software in a week and hardware in a year. In an overwhelming response to movement, scores of citizens boycotted Me in China goods and protested against companies.

India bans 59 Chinese apps

Ministry of Home Affairs on Monday banned 59 Chinese applications including TikTok. Centre stated that it has received many complaints from various sources including several reports about misuse of se apps for stealing and surreptitiously transmitting users’ data in an unauthorized manner to servers that have locations outside India. Hence, in a move to protect sovereignty of Indian Cyber and to ensure interests of crores of Indian mobile users. move came amid ongoing India-China standoff at Line of Actual Control (LAC).
