Delhi, Gazipur: Mountain of Garbage has a better rating and reviews on Google Maps than most tourist destinations around the city.

Delhi is home to many tourist destinations like India Gate, Red Fort, Qutub Minar, Jama Masjid, Lodhi Garden and much more, and Google Maps is one true friend of every traveler exploring city. But sometimes looking forward to information on Google Maps can be an entertaining experience. Of late, people living in Delhi's Ghazipur area are up to something really interesting on Google Maps that has caught attention of rest of internet.

One lesser-kwn place called 'Mountain of Garb' has a better rating and reviews on Google Maps than most tourist destinations around city. As its name suggests, 'Mountain of Garb' is where all garb and waste generated in East Delhi, Central Delhi and Old Delhi is dumped. All se reviews and ratings on Google Maps are simply part of creative and collective efforts led by Ghazipur residents to vent out ir outr.

At time of writing this, Mountain of Garb has 4.5-star rating out of 5. listing has so far generated over 500 reviews and ratings on Google Maps. But apart from se ratings, what's even more interesting are reviews. One person said:

"Wow! I was looking for tourist places in and around Delhi and i found this as most unique place. I think this place is best for those who love nature and like watching mountains and smelling fresh air. tourist department must provide facilities for tourists, especially for foreigners who have come (to) India to kw our great glories. You must visit ' Great Great Mountain of Garb', an emerging tourist place."

Clearly, people of Gazipur are t happy with 'Mountain of Garb.' Last year, two people h died when a huge chunk of Ghazipur landfill collapsed and this pile of garb may eventually match Qutub Minar’s height.
