According to a new report, two men from Haryana were arrested for allegedly hurting religious sentiments. police arrested Sarvjit Singh and Mandeep Singh for dancing to Punjabi songs in a TiKTok video on Sunday. duo was recording video in Golden Temple complex.

incident came to light after viral TikTok video started making rounds on social media. A police complaint was lodged after matter was brought to tice of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) authorities.

A case has been registered under Section 295 of Indian Penal Code (IPC). Section 295 of IPC covers injuring or defiling place of worship with intent to insult religion of any class.

SGPC authorities have alrey banned videography in Golden Temple complex. Earlier, three girls recorded a TikTok video in Golden Temple. apology was sought after SGPC authorities raised objections.

ban on TikTok was lifted with condition that it should t be used to host obscene videos. A bench of Justices N Kirubakaran and S S Sundar of Murai bench of high court warned that if any "controversial" video violating its conditions were found posted, it would be considered a contempt of court.

High Court h on April 3 directed Centre to ban mobile app TikTok, which is used to create short videos, as it voiced concern over "porgraphic and inappropriate content" being me available through such apps.
