TikTok craze remains unaffected amid controversies, secures number one position on app stores
TikTok has secured the number one position as Top Free iOS app on Apple App Store. The app is also leading as Top Free App in the Social category on the Google Play Store.

TikTok is back with a bang! TikTok has secured the number one position as Top Free iOS app on Apple App Store. The app is also leading as Top Free App in the Social category on the Google Play Store.
Last month, Google and Apple removed the TikTok app from Google Play Store and Apple App Store after the Madras High Court directed the centre to impose a ban on TikTok over concerns of "pornographic and inappropriate content" being made available through it, thus preventing further app downloads.

The ban was later lifted with the condition that the platform should not be used to host obscene videos. TikTok has over 200 million users in India.
Recently, TikTok launched a new #ReturnOfTikTok brand campaign to let users participate in some in-app challenge.

As part of the challenge, TikTok wants its users to users to express their excitement over the return of TikTok by sharing creative videos on the platform along with #shareandwin and #ReturnOfTikTok hashtags.

TikTok has issued a new statement thanking its community for supporting the app. TikTok also reiterated its commitment towards ensuring the positive in-app experience for its users. Read the full statement from TikTok below:

Recently, TikTok was surrounded by a new controversy after a video showing two foreign women dancing to film songs inside the mosque went viral and administration imposed a ban on tourists from entering the Mosque. Shortly after the incident was reported, TikTok removed the controversial video from its platform.
Last month, two Haryana men were arrested for shooting a video using TikTok while dancing to Punjabi songs in the Golden Temple complex.
