Twitter extends ability to “hide replies” to tweets, to more regions

Twitter has now extended, the feature to hide replies to tweets, to more users and regions across the world. This is now active in Japan and USA. Do check out.

Twitter has now extended, the feature to hide replies to tweets, to more users and regions across the world. This means that if you think that somebody has replied in an unprofessional manner to your tweets, you could simply hide such replies from view. Twitter has also been surveying user behaviour, and the rollout of this feature is a result of this analysis of according more control to Twitterati. Now, the ability to hide replies to tweets has started rolling out, as a test, to users in Japan as well as the United States of America (USA).  

Do you prefer others' replies, hidden

Here, if you are a Twitterati in the above regions, do check if you could hide irrelevant/abusive/unintelligible replies to your tweets. To check out the feature, do check if you have the “Hide Replies” feature enabled. Here, as soon as Twitter announced the rollout of this test feature to other countries of the world, netizens (especially Twitterati) got into a potential frenzy. There were mixed reactions from netizens concerning the potential usefulness of the “hide replies from Twitter conversations” functionality:

In summary, Twitter began the rollout of the "hide replies" feature, as a test. This started with twitterati in Canada in July this year. Now, with more regions added, it only becomes interesting to ponder if India could also make it to this list in the future. Remember that this feature would continue to stay or deprecate based on user feedback. It is dependant on Twitterati.
