HQ Trivia was one of first and most popular live mobile trivia games. It is reported that HQ Trivia h an active user base of about 7 lakh people daily. But what was once a successful business with 25 full-time employees has been shut down and is going through dissolution. Here are reasons that le to downfall of one of most popular live mobile trivia games and what happened to HQ Trivia.
What happened to HQ Trivia?
When HQ launched in 2017, it launched its first game HQ Trivia. It quickly attracted millions and millions of users in a small period of time. This worldwide game was played twice in a day. It could be played by anyone who owns a smartphone.

company was n profiled by a leing daily after which original host of show Scott Rogowsky became a household name in United States of America. host of show also me appearances on famous TV shows too. But fame did t last for long.

By 2018, popularity of game h fed and its parent company was t doing well as it faced many setbacks. This also reportedly led to internal tension between HQ and parent company.
One of reasons for company facing problems was death of one of cofounders of HQ, Colin Kroll. He died in December of 2018 due to a drug overdose. This ded a lot of tension.

From December of 2018 to present date, company was active but recently current CEO of brand Rus Yusupov reportedly sent a company-wide email to his employees on February 21, 2020. In mail, he is said to have expressed that main investors of company are longer willing to fund venture. It was reported that in mail he also said that company will cease its operation and movie towards dissolution effective form same day.

It was also reported that company h hired a bank to find it new investors who will help and support it run business and help expansion. It was also reported that bank h found an established investor for company and that HQ Trivia was going to sign deal on February 22, 2020. It was n reported that deal fell through.

In recent months, HQ has reportedly tried to expand its business by launching new products for its audience. One of ir latest products was a photo challenge based game which released in December of 2019 by name of HQX. HQ CEO Rus Yusupov took to his twitter and thanked users. Take a look at it here:
