Koo is India's newest microblogging site for sharing personal updates and opinions. For Indian users, it is a Twitter counterpart, and discussions on this site are similar to those on Twitter: they revolve on intriguing themes. Koo was formerly designated as an AatmaNirbhar App and was the winner of the AatmaNirbhar App Innovation Challenge. The Indian government hosted this event in August 2020. Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami of Republic Media Network made a special announcement earlier this month, announcing the beginning of the 'Republic-Aatmanirbhar Bharat Initiative' as part of their national service to support Indian 'glocal' enterprises. The network has established collaborations with two domestic brands, Koo and Mitron, as part of the strategy.

Koo, an Indian microblogging site that was also a part of the AatmaNirbhar Bharat App Innovation Challenge last year, took its time to gain traction, but it is currently garnering attention from a number of government-related groups and may be the finest Twitter replacement for India.
