WhatsApp introduces a new 'Search on the web' feature that verifies fake news easily
WhatsApp has recently introduced a new feature of 'Search on the web' on its new mobile app updates. Now users can verify forwarded news effectively.

In wake of Coronavirus pandemic, tackling misinformation and fake news has become a task for government. se fake news circulating on WhatsApp groups create chaos and panic and to tackle such an issue Government of India declared Disaster Manment Act. However, this has still t stopped fake news from being forwarded in groups. So, WhatsApp took an initiative and came up with a new WhatsApp update which enables a user to verify a forwarded mess on internet.

This new feature of WhatsApp was recently ded in new updates to help governments across globe to tackle spre of misinformation effectively. new update was anunced by WABetainfo officially. As per WABetainfo, search mess on web can be used on latest versions of WhatsApp Web/ Desktop. website also stated that feature is enabled on latest WhatsApp for Android and iOS updates.

WAbetainfo also shared a screenshot on Twitter of a chat in which search icon appeared next to a forwarded text mess. According to WhatsApp Beta Information website, new WhatsApp search mess on web feature will only work for frequently forwarded texts. However, this new update is for mobile app users only. re is news about when will feature rollout for WhatsApp Web.

How to use new WhatsApp update?
A user can verify forwarded text on WhatsApp mobile app by tapping on search icon placed right beside mess. When you tap on search bar, it will ask you wher you want to search your mess on Google or t. If you select yes, feature will take you to a p on search engine which would confirm wher your mess is true or false.
