For Persistence of Chaos, Guo O Dong reportedly partnered with Deep Instinct which is a cybersecurity firm. most interesting aspect is that Persistence of Chaos was also open for bidding. You could have bid for this “infected laptop” which in its current state might not be able to cause unwanted incidents as far as cyberattacks are concerned, considering that it has been air gapped.
As far as intentions behind Persistence of Chaos is concerned, infected system apparently seems to be a real-world representation of threats that dangerous malware represent.
