Netizens are left perplexed after a Twitter account shared a video of an animal resembling a cat but with the ears like that of a bat.

Netizens are left perplexed after a Twitter account shared a video of an animal resembling a cat but with the ears like that of a bat. Since the animal made strange noises unheard my many before, netizens enjoyed guessing what the creature is. And they had several interesting answers.

As seen in the video below, the 'cat' has long stiff pointy ears. It's 'purring' is unusual too. And it seemed bothered by the attention it is receiving from the person holding the camera.

Netizens had a gala time trying to understand what type of animal the pet was. Some of the funniest guesses were – Batcat, Dobby (The elf from Harry Potter), and Cat Dracula. However, it appears that the right answer to the question is the Oriental Shorthair cat.

The Oriental Shorthair cat is closely related to the Siamese cat. The breed is known for its big ears long lean body, and for being in a variety of colours. They are similar to the Siamese car except that they come in all a variety of colours.
