Canadian lawyers file lawsuit against Google for using users' personal info for profits
Tech giant Google is under massive heat in Canada after lawyers of British Columbia, Ontario and Quebec filed separate class-action suits against it.

Tech giant Google is under massive heat in Cana after lawyers of British Columbia, Ontario and Quebec filed separate class-action suits against it for 'unlawfully collecting profits from its user's personal information.'
suit against Google and its parent company Alphabet alleges that company collects its user's personal information from ir devices without ir consent to 'build profiles' of nearly every internet user in Cana, IT World Cana reported. It also alleges that it uses this data and data collected through or mediums such as Google Services, Google s, and Google Analytics to make 'unlawful profits'.

“re is reason Canians should tolerate what we say is extensive surveillance of ir daily online activities, especially because Cana has laws specifically intended to protect m from such actions,” said Luciana Brasil, from Branch MacMaster LLP in a press release.
data collected by Google’s services, Google s and Analytics, is actively used to track and trespass user's preferences and contents including sending code to ir computers, tablets, or smartphones when y visit se sites or services.

Google does t stop re, suit alleges that even data of even those users which have relations with Google's services such as Chrome browser or Gmail is collected by company via sites that eir allow or use Google Analytics or Google s. According to press release, nearly 50 per cent of global websites have Google’s services as well as Google s and Analytics, installed, refore personal information of a user who does t eng in Google services is also ultimately collected via se sites.

“So my computer is being told to do something by somebody with whom I have h relationship without my kwledge and without any opportunity to give consent. That to me is such a clear case," said Luciana Brasil to IT World Cana.

All three suits are filed on grounds of alleged privacy violations of ir respective provincial laws as well as Cana's federal privacy law. It is still undecided wher three suits would be merged toger at a later st.
