Amazfit T-Rex 3 smartwatch to launch in India soon

Amazfit will soon launch the T-Rex 3 smartwatch in India, following its debut at the IFA 2024 in Berlin, Germany. The company has begun posting teasers in the build-up to the launch, but the date remains unclear. However, the T-Rex 3’s specifications, details, and looks are already out. The upcoming T-Rex 3 from Amazfit will appeal to customers looking for a rugged smartwatch.

Amazfit T-Rex 3 features

The T-Rex 3 uses an octagonal bezel instead of a round one and has useful inscriptions. The display is still round, measuring 1.5 inches – an upgrade from the 1.39-inch model on the previous model. The screen offers a high brightness of 2000 nits and has Corning Gorilla Glass protection, which the company claims will allow the smartwatch to work in cold weather. The Amazfit T-Rex 3’s straps are made of liquid silicone and measure 22mm. It runs Zepp OS 4, which comes integrated with OpenAI’s GPT-4 large language model. Amazfit has also equipped the smartwatch with a functionality to control Sonos sound systems.

Fitness features on the Amazfit T-Rex 3 include 170 sports modes, which can be managed from the dedicated app available on Android and iOS. The smartwatch can measure skin temperature, alongside heart rate, blood oxygen level, sleep, and stress. Amazfit’s smartwatch also supports 10ATM water resistance, which works up to 45 metres. The battery capacity on the Amazfit T-Rex 3 has increased 1.4 times compared to the predecessor. It has a 700mAh battery, which can last up to 27 days with typical use and 81 days in basic watch mode. The smartwatch has an in-built GPS, which when enabled reduces the battery life to 42 hours in accuracy mode, 114 hours in battery-saver mode, and up to 180 hours in extreme battery-saving mode. The T-Rex 3 can last 13 days when used heavily, but charging the watch fully takes about 3 hours.

While Amazfit has yet to announce the T-Rex 3 price for India, its cost in other countries is already out. The Amazfit T-Rex 3 costs €299 in Europe, $299 in the US, and ￥1899 in China.
