Amazon Alexa developers can now prepare custom skill sets for Spanish language support to be offered for consumers in 2019.

If you depend on Amazon Alexa for your everyday needs such as setting reminders, alarms, and more, then it is worth noting that if you are Spanish and residing in the United States of America (USA) then the personal digital assistant (PDA) would speak your language very soon in 2019. This is because Amazon is now inviting developers to implement programs synchronizing with Spanish users based in the USA.
“Skills that developers create now and are certified for publication will be available for participants in the Alexa Preview program, and to all customers when Alexa launches in the US with Spanish language support later this year,” states Amazon in the official Alexa blog.

This means that if you are also a hardware manufacturer of devices with Alexa-integration, then you could ask for early access to the Alexa Voice Service developer preview program and this is exclusive for Spanish language customers.
The above development indicative of the Spanish language support is certainly relevant in the current scenario considering the fact that Alexa has a significantly large chunk of the Spanish user base. To check out the PDA speaking Spanish, you would need to wait a while before it is officially rolled out.

In related updates, not too long ago during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2019 in February this year, Amazon Alexa was showcased integrated within even toilets that became “smart”. This smart toilet by Kohler is AI-backed as well. Check this “innovation” in detail, here.
