Apple AirPods Pro with active noise cancellation now available in India 

Apple AirPods Pro are now available for buying in India at a price of Rs 24,900. The AirPods Pro are an upgrade to the original AirPods launched in 2016 alongside the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus in many ways. Not only are the AirPods Pro Apple’s first pair of truly wireless earbuds with active noise cancellation, they also have a tweaked, more premium in-ear design with flexible ear tips. 

Apple AirPods Pro specs and features 

The AirPods Pro come with dedicated microphones that can actively detect external ambience and these then cancel it out. Apple says, “noise cancellation continuously adapts the sound signal 200 times per second.” There’s also a transparency mode that will allow users to hear their surroundings as and when needed. This will be activated through specialized force sensors built into the stem of the AirPods Pro – these can also be used to control music playback. 

Apple is touting generally improved audio over the previous generation AirPods. These come with adaptive EQ that “automatically tunes music to the shape of your ear.” 

This is also the first time Apple will be offering flexible ear tips – in three sizes – in the box. Apple is also offering software-based tuning to tell you if you’ve chosen the right size. The AirPods Pro are also IPX4-certified for sweat and water resistant. 

Like the AirPods 2, the AirPods Pro also come with Apple’s custom H1 chip for seemingly faster connectivity, improved battery life and hands-free Hey Siri support. Speaking of battery life, Apple is claiming around 4.5 hours of continuous music playback with active noise cancellation – the carrying case promises “over 24 hours of listening time or over 18 hours of talk time.” The case supports wireless charging and will work with any Qi-enabled wireless charger.    

Apple AirPods Pro India price and availability 

The AirPods Pro will be available for buying in India from Apple Authorized Resellers across India as well as via offline channels at a price of Rs 24,900.
