Apple AirPods Pro would control audio playback as part of key safety feature: Report

The safety feature intelligently figures the surrounding of an AirPods Pro user and then does the needful in terms of lowering the volume or pausing the audio.

In a news concerning tech enthusiasts, Apple AirPods Pro might be able to control playback volume in future. As per a report by PatentlyApple,  Cupertino-based tech giant has received a patent titled 'Contextual audio system.' patent may have revealed some of safety features of upcoming AirPods Pro (2nd Generation). For instance, if a user is wearing AirPods Pro and cycling, AirPods will be aware of user's surrounding with help of GPS on connected Apple Watch or iPhone. While doing so, AirPods will also control playback volume, depending upon wher user needs to pay attention to a dangerous situation that might le to an accident.

Since users like to wear AirPods Pro for a longer duration of time and during all activities such as working out, walking on street, shopping and more, contextually aware safety mechanism could prove to be very useful. Recently, Apple was granted anor patent that contains information about technology that could make iPhone usable in rain.  patent talks about a device that includes a touch sensor, a capacitance detector to determine location of input and a force detector to measure amount and location of force applied. ditionally, patent talks about a moisture sensor that can determine total amount of moisture present on protective layer above screen. From what it looks like, Apple wants to combine se four sensors to create an iPhone display that is better at responding in a moist environment, including rain or a swimming pool.
