Apple Security Lockout Mode: How to reset an iPhone or an iPad without a PC?
Apple Security Lockout Mode is available with the latest version of iOS and iPad OS and will allow users to reset their device without the need to connect a PC.

Apple has released latest iOS 15.2 for iPhone users and it comes with a lot of new features, including App Privacy Report, Emergency SOS, Apple Music Voice Plan and more. Among or features, iOS 15.2 also provides users with ability to reset ir locked iPhones. new update will eliminate need to reset an iPhone via a PC. Until w, iPhone users required a PC to reset ir locked devices.
feature that enables iPhone users to unlock a locked device without a PC is called Security Lockout Mode. Along with recent release, Apple has introduced feature for both iPs and iPhones and it is available on iOS 15.2 and iPOS 15.2. For unlocking smartphone using Security Lockout Mode, users will need ir Apple ID and password. ditionally, device shall be connected over an active Wi-Fi or data connection.

Users must take care of se three things before resetting a device-
- A user must have signed-in Apple ID and password.
- device must be connected to a data or Wi-Fi network.
- Security Lockout Mode works on iOS 15.2 and iPOS 15.2.
How to reset an iP or an iPhone using Security Lockout Mode?
- From device's Lock Screen, enter passcode until device asks to try again later. Repeat this step until device shows an 'Erase iPhone' option at bottom right corner of display.
- Tap on 'Erase iPhone' option, n tap again to confirm
- Enter Apple ID password which will sign user out of Apple ID from device
- Tap on Erase device to permanently delete all data and settings on device
- When device restarts, follow instructions are given on-screen to set up device, restore data from a created backup and set new passwords
It is important to te that resetting device using Security Lockout Mode will still erase all data and settings. ditionally, Erase device options will pop up on an iPhone or iP only after user has failed multiple input attempts.
