Apple Watch may get sleep tracking feature soon

Apple will reportedly call it “Time in Bed tracking” and the feature will be accessible via its own dedicated complication and companion Sleep app.

Apple Watch is probably only smartwatch that matters at this point of time – it's that good. But it’s still far from perfect. One feature that long-time Apple Watch users have been requesting for, for a long time w, is sleep tracking and looks like Apple has heard m. According to a new report, Apple is prepping a sleep tracking feature, internally codenamed Burrito, that will t require new hardware – which could mean feature has a high probability of working on existing Apple Watch devices.

Sleep tracking with next Apple Watch

Apple will reportedly call it “Time in Bed tracking” and feature will be accessible via its own dedicated companion Sleep app. While asleep, feature will allow Apple Watch’s wide array of sensors to tack user’s sleep quality as a factor of ir “movement, heart rate, and ises.” Apple Watch will automatically enable Do t Disturb in bedtime mode.  

new feature seems to be well thought out too. According to report, Apple is also simultaneously working on a feature that would remind users to charge ir Apple Watch should it be low on juice before entering bedtime mode. Apple Watch will also automatically turn off alarm should user wake up and start ir day in vance.

It isn’t exactly clear if Apple is looking to bring sleep tracking to all Apple Watch devices through a software update or if it would launch a new iteration with it, on September 10, and n subsequently bring it to or devices in lineup. Be that as it may, Apple is rumored to launch Apple Series 5 on September 10 alongside iPhone 11 lineup, and report suggests Cuperti major may anunce new feature as soon as next week – possibly during same keyte. 

Apple anunced watchOS 6 – which is next major update to software that powers Apple Watch - at its annual WWDC keyte event in San Jose, California in early June. new update is set to be available in September. Some of new features of watchOS 6 include a menstrual cycle tracking app, a ise app for detecting sound levels that could negatively impact hearing, a new trends tab in activity app for tracking long-term progress, and t to mention, tons of new Watch faces for customization.
