Google Home Mini Giveaway: Spotify offers free units to premium users

Music streaming giant Spotify is giving away Google Home Mini to its premium users. Spotify said eligible premium Spotify users can get Google Home Mini absolutely free. The offer went live starting on October 22. However, this is not the first time Spotify has come up with this offer. Previously, Spotify introduced the offer for Spotify Premium Family users. This way, the app seems to be eyeing for maximum users purchasing Spotify's premium membership. Spotify has extended this offer to the eligible individual and Premium Family master accounts, both new as well as existing ones, this time around. However, this offer is limited to Spotify users in the US, So in case you happen to be outside of the US, you will not be eligible to get free Google Home Mini.

"Last year we unveiled this offer for Spotify Premium for Family users, introducing households to a new, exciting way to enjoy music at home. Now we’re offering it for our users with individual plans. Streaming your favorite tunes and music playlists has never been so easy—or hands-off," Spotify said in its blog post.

Purchasing Spotify's Premium membership will get users ad-free music streaming experience, offline downloading and more. Meanwhile, Google Home Mini will be an additional avenue for Spotify to expand its reach beyond the conventional music streaming experience among users. Spotify is also rolling out some new features with Google to make it easier to discover and listen to Spotify with the help of Google Home Mini and other Assistant-powered devices. Spotify's shared family plan costs $15. Spotify allows up to six users to access the shared family plan. Spotify Family plan also provides users with upgrades in the form of Family Plan, including Parental Controls, Family Mix, and Family Hub.

How to get free Google Home Mini

First things first, go to the Spotify website and select the plan you want to purchase. You can choose from the following options: 'Get Individual' or 'Get Family' plan depending on your requirement or the existing plan. Once ypu finalise the plan you want to purchase, you will be prompted to log into your Spotify account. Once you have logged in, a web page hosting the Google Store will open and the price of Google Home Mini will be reduced to Rs 0. All you need to do is choose the colour you want. Follow the on-screen instructions, fill in the forms and you will soon have the Google Home Mini delivered at your doorstep.
