Google's smart bending spoon can recognise character input you have in mind? Not really

Google's undeniably epic blend of creativity and sense of humour manages to surprise and make us burst into laughter on April 1st and there is absolutely no reason why that should not be the case this time around. In fact, Google has released a new video of what it calls 'Gboard Spoon Bending Version' that only means one thing: Flexibility. But its application is simply entertaining and no, Google is not trying to solve any problem as it did earlier with Liftware, a Google-owned smart spoon that counteracts unwanted hand movements.

Google published a lengthy blog post explaining what Gboard Spoon Bending Version is all about in Japanese. But hey, we have Google Translate. So we are not going to let you miss all the fun. With Gboard Spoon, Google is looking to provide the text you want, anytime and anywhere. Google calls it a new keyboard that can realise character input you have in mind by simply bending the spoon. Google also described the how-to process to get you started with the Gboard spoon bending version. This is how Google wants you to take it seriously:

1. Connect the Gboard spoon bending version to your smartphone or computer
2. All you have to do is bend the spoon.

"The letter corresponding to that angle is entered. A is gentle and Z is strong. The more you bend the spoon in mind, the more characters you can enter in the back. The Gboard spoon bending version is sure to be a dip for your character input," said Google in its blog post.

You must have figured out by now that this is not real AT ALL, and this is just part of Google's April Fools' Day jokes and pranks for the rest of the day. In realted news, Google Maps has released the iconic Snake game on its mobile apps and the desktop web version, which is REAL.
