A new dark theme is now confirmed for Gmail. This can even be manually enabled, post rollout. This Dark Mode is applicable to the Gmail mobile application (app). The theme should now have begun rolling out, nonetheless, manually enable it to instantaneously evaluate the new look and feel.

At this stage, remember that the dark mode for Gmail is applicable to both Google Android and Apple iOS mobile devices. For both the mobile platforms, the rollout of the dark mode is on an extended rollout. For G Suite, the dark mode is available to all the G Suite editions. To enable manually, Within the Android Display system settings, set the device to dark theme—Gmail would automatically evaluate the system default setting. Within Pixel smartphones, when the Battery Saver is enabled, Gmail would switch to the dark theme automatically Then, in Gmail, navigate to Settings > Theme and select “Dark". If you are using Android 10/iOS 13 – both newer operating system editions, the system settings would automatically be evaluated by the new feature.   “Earlier this year, we launched the new Gmail on mobile to help you get things done quickly, such as viewing attachments or searching for a specific email. We're further enhancing the Gmail experience on Android and iOS devices by introducing dark theme support. Dark theme will begin rolling out today,” states Google in an official blog post.
