Apple has discontinued the iPhone 13 right after announcing the new iPhone 16. Launched in 2021, the iPhone 13 emerged as the company’s most-selling smartphone of 2022, surpassing options such as the iPhone 14 Pro Max from the same year, according to research from Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC). Apple’s new iPhone 16 brings significant improvements in performance and photography, so it makes sense for the company to retire old devices.

iPhone 13 is one of Apple ’s most-selling smartphones and continued to be available for up to three years. It was launched at Rs 79,900, but its miniature version called the iPhone 13 mini, was selling for Rs 69,900. Over the past few years, the iPhone 13 saw several official price cuts, but third-party shopping platforms have offered big discounts to increase sales. That gave Apple an unprecedented push into the Indian market, registering a two-digit growth for the first time in the premium segment.
