iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16 delivery dates slip to October, hinting at high demand

iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 shipping dates have moved to as late as the first week of October, hinting at a potentially high demand for Apple ’s latest devices. The Apple Store Online shows that the expected delivery window for the iPhone 16 Pro for tier-I cities has been pushed back from September 20-21 to September 28-October 5. On the other hand, the iPhone 16 deliveries will begin four to five days late, with September 25-28 as the new window for the metros. Pickups from Apple Saket in New Delhi and Apple BKC in Mumbai are also likely delayed.

The pre-orders for iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max started last Friday on Apple Store Online. Initially, the shipping dates for the entire iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro lineups were September 20 – with a maximum delay of two days in tier-I cities, such as New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Kolkata. Deliveries in tier-II cities, such as Jaipur, Lucknow, Kanpur, Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, Guwahati, and Pune were previously expected to begin on September 21. The wait time has now been extended by four to five days from the Apple Store Online.

The physical Apple Stores in New Delhi and Mumbai are also showing signs of high demand. The new colour models in the new iPhone and iPhone Pro lineups are not available at either outlets. Apple Saket and Apple BKC show “currently unavailable” for the iPhone 16 Pro Desert Titanium and iPhone 16 Ultramarine colourways. Other variants of both iPhone models are ready for in-store pickup on September 21 from Apple BKC and Apple Saket.
