- At bottom-right corner of your laptop screen, right- on 'Audio' icon.
- Now choose, 'Open Sound Settings'. This will open sound settings of your Windows PC.
- n, scroll down and you will see "Test your microphone" option and "Settings App" would live test your mic which show like a volume bar below text.
- If mic is working properly, you need to check wher you have allowed all apps to access mic on your laptop so that you can fix mic problem. However, if it is not working, it is vised to Troubleshoot hardware issues.

mic is not working on laptop? first thing that needs to be checked is wher you have allowed all apps with access to use mic. To allow applications to use microphone on your laptop, follow below-given steps.
- On your keyboard, press "Windows logo" key and "Microphone."
- n on "Microphone privacy settings".
- Under "Allow apps to access your microphone" section, make sure toggle is "On" so that you can allow apps access to your microphone.
- Scroll down to "Choose which apps can access your microphone" section and make sure toggle for app you are using microphone for is turned "On".
