Samsung has announced its flagship phone, Galaxy S24 Ultra, will be available at a discount for a limited period. The Galaxy S24 Ultra’s price has been temporarily cut by Rs 20,000. It is now selling for Rs 1,09,999, down from the launch price of Rs 1,29,999. The temporary price cut comes ahead of the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro pre-orders, slated to go live at 5.30 PM on Friday, September 13.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra revised price

The Galaxy S24 Ultra’s starting price is Rs 1,09,999 for the base variant. The temporary price cut includes an instant cashback of Rs 8,000 along with an additional upgrade bonus of Rs 12,000. Customers without an old phone for exchange can go for the Rs 12,000 cashback offer on credit or debit cards from partner banks. Samsung is also offering customers an option to pay in monthly instalments for up to 24 months.

The Galaxy S24 Ultra is among the best smartphones money can buy. Launched in January earlier this year, the Galaxy S24 Ultra offers generative artificial intelligence (Gen AI) features under the Galaxy AI name. Its biggest rival was the Google Pixel when it came out, but will soon face competition from Apple ’s new iPhone 16 Pro models, the pre-orders for which will open later today and the sales next Friday.

The iPhone 16 Pro starts at Rs 1,19,900, but the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s original price is Rs 1,29,999. Samsung is seeking to woo customers looking for AI features and a premium smartphone with the latest price cut. The Galaxy S24 Ultra has a 6.8-inch quad-HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 2600 nits. It uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. The smartphone has a 200MP triple camera system on the back and a 12MP selfie camera. It supports the S Pen and wireless charging on the battery.
