Xiaomi launches Redmi Watch 5 Lite with built-in GPS in India: Top features, India price

Redmi Watch 5 Lite India launch: Xiaomi launched a budget smartwatch -- the Redmi Watch 5 Lite -- in India today. The newly introduced Redmi Watch 5 Lite succeedes the Redmi Watch Active 5 that arrived in India last month and it joins Xiaomi's smartwatch lineup, which also includes the Redmi Watch Active 3 Active and the Redmi Watch 2 Lite among others. In India, the Redmi Watch 5 competes with the likes of the Boat Cosmos Plus and the Noise ColorFit Pro 5.

Redmi Watch 5 Lite India price and availability

The Redmi Watch 5 Lite is priced at Rs 3,499 and it comes in Black and Grey colour variants in India. This newly launched smartwatch will be available for purchase starting September 26 on mi.com and other retail stores across the country. Interested buyers will also be able to purchase the Redmi Watch 5 Lite via Amazon . However, the company hasn't announced the date and time of availability on the platform yet.

Redmi Watch 5 Lite top features

Coming to the features, the Redmi Watch 5 Lite comes with a 1.96-inch AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 600 nits and support for Always-On and Raise to Wake features. It runs Xiaomi's HyperOS operating system and it features support for over 200 customisable watch faces.

On the feature front, the Redmi Watch 5 Lite is water resistant up to 5 ATM, which makes it suitable for swimming at a depth of up to 50 meters for up to 10 minutes. In addition to this, the Xiaomi's newly launched smartwatch features support for over 200 professional sports modes and 19 built-in running courses for customised training experiences.

In addition to these features, the Redmi Watch 5 Lite comes with built-in GPS, which means users can ditch their smartphones while going out for a run. It also supports phone calls via Bluetooth.

Coming to the battery, the Redmi Watch 5 Lite offers a runtime of around 18 days. Xiaomi hasn't revealed the exact battery capacity yet. Additional features include support for multiple languages including Hindi, floating notifications and calendar app.
