It’s happening, alright. YouTube is w available on Amazon Fire TV devices. ditionally, Prime Video is w available on Google Chromecast and Android TVs. Although details about what prompted truce or what took m so long to get to it are scarce, it’s nice to see Google and Amazon – finally - putting customer satisfaction above ir long-running standoff.

feud between Google and Amazon has kept native YouTube app off Amazon’s Fire TV devices for well over a year – Chromecast and many Android TV users (with exception of a few partner devices) similarly couldn’t access Prime Video all this while. Until w, that is. Both parties h anunced in April, that a settlement h seemingly been reached prompting arrival of YouTube on Fire TV devices, and Prime Video on Google Chromecast and Android TVs in coming months.

Starting today, official YouTube app is available in India on Fire TV Stick and Fire TV Stick 4K. While internationally, it can also be accessed on devices like “Fire TV Cube, Fire TV Stick Basic Edition, and Toshiba, Insignia, Element, and Westinghouse Fire TV Edition smart TVs.” ditional support for YouTube TV and YouTube Kids will be coming to se devices later this year. Being an official app means, users will be able to access Alexa from within app itself, to "find, launch, and control content (pause, play, rewind, fast-forward) using ir voice."

Google’s Chromecast streaming dongle is similarly getting native Amazon Prime Video integration – Prime Video will be also available universally on Android TVs.

Interestingly, joint agreement does t mention Echo Show and recently launched Echo Show 5 which seems to suggest that it will be some more time before Amazon’s smart display gets native YouTube support. This means users of Echo Show will have to make do with built-in web browser to access YouTube until furr anuncement.
