Apple is done signing the iOS 14.1 to iPhones, blocks downgrades from iOS 14.1

Apple has year after year taken up a number of steps to avoid major jailbreak issues. Read below to know the latest strategy by the company

Apple has officially rolled out iOS 14.1 version to all users of current iOS 14  iPhones. Users who have been in Apple ecosystem for a long time are aware that once latest iOS version has been rolled out to general public, users can longer downgrade to previous version. This is also applicable to beta users, thus, those who are currently on iOS 14.2 Beta 5 version will also t be allowed to downgrade to iOS 14.1.

iOS 14.1 rolled out 

Apple had launched its iOS 14.0 back on September 16, software was previously tested for three-months in beta period. update brought upon a  number of changes to overall look of iPhone home screen. However, it did t come with a smooth patch. iOS 14 and iOS 14.1 have brought upon a number of issues that were spotted by users and brought to light.

iOS 14.1 issues included improper loading of widgets and battery drain along with various ors. However, Apple is expected to stabilise new iOS with time. company had rolled out new patch to update which fixed some of se bugs but t in ir entirety. As of w, re is iOS 14 jailbreak for newer iPhones as of w, but as seen earlier, it won't take long before developers find ir way around update.

However, some users might t understand why Apple is t allowing users to downgrade to previous iOS versions? simple answer is to avoid Jailbreak. Developers usually design ir jailbreak software based upon previous version of iOS. Thus, by stopping people from downgrading to it, Apple can curb users from jailbreaking ir devices. However, team behind 'Checkra1n jailbreak' had recently anunced that ir version of jailbreak is w compatible with iOS 14. But, Apple has implemented new software measures which make process of jailbreaking devices even more difficult on devices like iPhone 8 and iPhone X. As of w, only possible downgrade for iPhones on iOS 14 will be from iOS 14.2 Beta to iOS 14.1.
