Apple now has to stop selling iPhones in these countries 

A complex legal battle between Apple and Qualcomm has lately been taking too many turns. Only a week after Qualcomm won in a Chinese court leading to a preliminary ban on older Apple iPhone models within the country, Qualcomm has won a yet another fight in its long-standing legal battle over a worldwide patent dispute with Apple.

As a result, Apple may have to pull some of its older iPhone models from its stores in Germany. Apple said that it will pull select iPhone models from its German stores given a court ruling in Germany over a patent. But Apple said that it will appeal the decision. A report has that this may affect a few million iPhone units out of the hundreds of millions Apple manages to sell every year.

In spite of the court’s ruling in China, Apple continues to sell iPhone in China after changes were made to its software.

Qualcomm has been trying to get the sales of the iPhone banned in China for over a year.

The entire legal dispute between Qualcomm and Apple started with the iPhone maker accusing Qualcomm of overcharging for the use of basic patents and failing to pay $1 billion in rebates. Qualcomm retaliated with an accusation that Apple stole Qualcomm’s intellectual property (source code) to share with Intel.
