Asus ROG Phone II is officially a go in India. Days after launching flipping genius 6Z, Asus has launched its most powerful and feature packed phone, ROG Phone II in India. And much like 6Z, Asus has mand to spring a surprise once again, vis a vis pricing. ROG Phone II will sell at a starting price of Rs 37,999 for base variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB stor – making it most affordable high-end flagship phone that you can get in India today. 

Asus’ second-generation ROG Phone may look exactly like original (with a few differences that will be hard to point out in case you’ve crossed paths with first-generation model), but make mistake, this is most ridiculous piece of hardware coming from Taiwanese major - re’s or high-end gaming phone quite like it. Asus ROG Phone 2 is a gaming monster with a 120Hz AMOLED display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ processor paired with up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB stor, and a 6,000mAh battery. Plus, re’s a whole host of accessories that Asus is anuncing alongside, make this thing a full-on ecosystem of its own.

Asus ROG Phone II specs and features 

ROG Phone II comes with a 6.59-inch AMOLED 1080p+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time – screen also supports 10-bit HDR and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 6. Asus says it has made under hood changes to Android to achieve a touch sensor sampling rate of 240Hz making ROG Phone 2 smoor than latest and greatest iPhones. 

Asus is also updating its AirTriggers feature so y will be able to identify a casual tap and an actual press.  AirTriggers 2, as Asus is calling m, have a response time of 20ms which is three times faster than on ROG Phone 1 Also, you can w squeeze Asus’ phone for added functionality, like it is in HTC U11 and Google Pixel 2.

ROG Phone II is powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 855+ processor – which is an enhanced Snapdragon 855 designed for gaming with 15 per cent faster GPU performance. This is paired with up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB stor (n-expandable). You can choose to use eir stock Android-based Zen UI 6 or a gamer-centric ROG UI software on it – with ROG’s hallmark Armoury Crate which allows for per game customizations. 

ROG Phone II furr packs a girmous 6,000mAh battery inside which is claimed to offer 7 hours of n-stop PUBG playback. phone also supports 30W fast charging and 10W reverse charging. An improved cooling system that consists of a vapor chamber and vents meanwhile keeps check on temperature. ROG Phone II also comes with dual front-firing stereo speakers – re's also a dedicated headphone jack. re are two vibration motors and four mics for ise cancellation, and 2 USB Type C slots for charging and data syncing.

Asus ROG Phone II India price and availability 

Asus has launched ROG Phone II in India at a starting price of Rs 37,999 for base variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB stor going all way to Rs 59,999 for top-end variant with 12GB RAM and 512GB stor. While base model will ship with 18Watt fast charger and Aero Case accessory, top-end model will ship with 30Watt fast charger, Aero Case and Aero Active Cooler II accessories in box. ROG Phone II (8GB/128GB) will go on sale in India for first time on September 30 (12am) during Flipkart’s Big Billion Days sale event.
