Asus Zenfone 5Z users in India to receive Android 9 Pie update in January 2019

In what could be good news for Asus Zenfone 5Z users in India, Taiwanese smartphone maker anunced that company’s current flagship smartphone will receive Android 9 Pie operating system update in near future. Asus confirmed that it will roll out software via a firmware-over--air (FOTA) update towards end of January 2019.
Asus also said that once update is available, a tification will appear on Zenfone 5Z's status bar. All users need to do is simply tap tification. Once users successfully downlo update, a pop-up tification will appear, prompting users to install update. Once users hit option 'Install,' installation should begin.

Do keep in mind that device will reboot twice while installation of update is in process. One should t turn off device until phone reboots sucessully and home screen appears. Asus also said that all users should receive an update within 7 days of rolling it out. Users can check for updates manually by navigating to Settings > System > System Updates menu path.

Some of features of Android 9 Pie include an aptive battery, aptive brightness, enhanced tifications manment and more.
