BSNL Rs 108 plan now available till 10 December, offers free benefits

Government-led BSNL which could now well be on the path to revival has now extended the availability of the Rs 108 prepaid recharge tariff plan. The new validity date of plan as a whole is till 10 December 2019. This plan is an unlimited initiative which means that users could make voice calls up to 250 minutes per day.
The Rs 108 plan
The Rs 108 prepaid BNSL plan is currently valid in the Calcutta circle. Data offering, under this plan, is 1GB per day free for the first 28 days. Then, data would be charged at 25 paise per MB after the free limit. There would also be 500 free text messages per day under the Rs 108 plan. Hence, if you are a BSNL loyalist, you could avail the Rs 108 plan till 1 December, now. Validity of this plan is 90 days, for now.

The above modifications come after BSNL’s Tamil Nadu circle extended the availability of the Rs 1188 scheme till 21 January 2020. This comes at a time when the telco has been hugely trending on social media. The most recent popular hashtags have been “IndiaNeedBSNL”, “SwitchtoBSNL”, and “BSNL4G” respectively.
The above trending aspects come after a long time. Now, BSNL’s 4G services are a subject of intense anticipation by both users as well as loyalist alike. The telco is expected to acquire full 4G spectrum and deploy services soon.

In related news, the Interconnect Usage Charges (IUC) is also a subject of huge debates. Ne telco Reliance Jio has already brought IUC into force, based on TRAI’s directives, which is 6 paise per minute. Customers could even recharge with custom IUC-packs or all-in-one packs of the telco to continue unlimited calls to even other networks. Other incumbent telcos viz Vodafone and Bharti Airtel have not imposed IUC on customers for now.
