The Pixel 4 is coming on October 15 and Google isn’t being shy about it, at all. Google has installed a giant billboard in New York's famous Times Square primarily to hype its upcoming launch but the key takeaway – the Pixel 4 will come in orange or coral or whatever Google decides to call it. Now, leaks that the Pixel 4 will be available in this color variant have been doing the rounds for a while now – Google probably though it was better to confirm the thing and move on. Also, because this is the first time Google is toying with this color, might as well hype it well in advance.

Apart from coral, Google has previously also confirmed that the Pixel 4 will come in black – this was also the first time that Google had dropped key design elements of the Pixel 4, while also confirming the phone in question. That, and the dual cameras on the back. There are rumors that the Pixel 4 will also come in a new dual-tone white variant but Google is yet to confirm that – but going by the slew of official reveals lately, it might not be long before we hear more about it.

Google is known to be playful while naming its Pixel phones. It would be interesting to see what kinds of names the company has in store with the next Pixel phones. Google will launch the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL phones on October 15 in New York City. The invite and the company’s YouTube livestream tease “a few new things made by Google” and while the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL are all but certain to make an appearance, there could be more hardware announcements – possibly an updated second-generation Pixelbook laptop and new smart speakers to name a few.

As mentioned earlier, Google has gone off the script this year, confirming the Pixel 4 early (in June) possibly to outsmart the wave of leaks that the Pixel has now grown accustomed to. For the last couple of years, leaks have taken the better of the Pixel. This year has been no different, but at least Google is being a good sport about it matching them with its own reveals more often than not.
