It now seems as though the relationship between Google and Huawei is not on agreeable terms and thereby affecting future updates for devices around the world. Here, it is worth knowing that of late there have been less-than-favourable conditions for Huawei in the United States of America (USA) with the government there even including Huawei to the ‘Entity List thus making it mandatory to obtain governmental permissions for indulging in interactions with US companies. ’.

Now, as per a Reuters report the “suspended” interactions, with Huawei by Google include the likes of hardware/software update exchange, not including those service aspects that comply to an open-source license.

This means that there could be no Google software and popular applications/services within new Huawei smartphones in the future. At this juncture, what about existing Huawei users with Google software (and updates) running?

“Huawei will only be able to use the public version of Android and will not be able to get access to proprietary apps and services from Google,” states Reuters quoting an unnamed source.

Also, it is now being rumoured that popular chipmakers viz Qualcomm and Intel would not supply components to Huawei. This reported development, by Bloomberg, also states that this stoppage is already in effect; potentially meaning that the rollout of 5G wireless networks and compatible devices could be delayed across the globe.
