Xiaomi has finally taken the wraps off the all-new Redmi Note 6 Pro at its home turf. The Redmi lineup never fails to make the headlines, mainly due to its aggressive pricing strategy. That is also why the Redmi Note series is often considered a disruption in India’s mass-market of affordable smartphones. Well, the trend is expected to continue with the launch of Redmi Note 6 Pro as well.
No more branding confusion?
Xiaomi has perhaps decided to curb the branding confusion between two of their biggest markets: China and India. As we have seen on numerous occasions in the past, Xiaomi often unveils a phone originally in China and then re-launches it to India with a whole different branding. For example, Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 was, in fact, a rebranded Redmi 5 Plus from the Chinese market.

For reasons unknown, Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, which was originally announced in India, relaunched as the Redmi Note 5 in the Chinese market. So as you can see, there has been a tremendous confusion when it comes to Xiaomi phones in different markets. Xiaomi has perhaps decided to streamline its branding strategy since they have announced both the Redmi Note 6 and Note 6 Pro already in China.
We can safely assume that branding is more likely to remain unchanged when Xiaomi launches both the Redmi Note 6 and Note 6 Pro in India.

Here’s what the Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro is all about
One of the key highlights of Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro, it has a total of four cameras! Xiaomi claims it to be the world’s first AI-powered quad-camera smartphone. Lest we forget, AI (artificial intelligence) is the buzzword in smartphones space. Mostly everything right from a smartphone camera, software to the battery is blessed with AI in some way or the other. Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro has 20MP+2MP dual rear cameras for enhanced portrait mode using AI. On the front, it houses 12MP+5MP dual selfie cameras.
Inside is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 636 chipset that can also be found on the Redmi Note 5 Pro. It has two memory configurations: 3GB RAM with 32GB storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB expandable storage. One of the visible differences, it features a really wide notch above the display, similar to the latest iPhones. It sports 6.26 inches 1080p with a Full-screen display, which is a pretty common affair these days.
