HMD Global, the company responsible for bringing Nokia back to life, has geared up for a new launch event in Dubai. The company’s product chief Juho Sarvikas tweeted a teaser of the launch event along with hashtag #ExpectMore. The launch takes place on December 5. As per the teaser, the company is expected to unveil three new smartphones, two of them seemingly feature a notched display. We were unable to determine whether the third model on the right sports a notch above the display.

A report has it that HMD could be planning to unveil the Nokia 9 and Nokia 8.1. In fact, the arrival of Nokia 9 is long rumoured. Nokia 8.1 is believed to be a rebranded Nokia X7. The handset is tipped to arrive in India towards the end of this month. Nokia X7 became official in China last month. If Nokia 8.1 is indeed a rebranded Nokia X7, we can expect the specs to remain unchanged.

Specs-wise, Nokia X7 6.18 inches display with 1080p Full HD+ resolution, resulting in 408 ppi pixel density. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 710 processor coupled with up to 6GB of RAM and Adreno 616 GPU for graphics. Internally, there is 128GB of expandable storage. For shutterbugs, it has 13MP+12MP dual rear cameras and a 20MP selfie camera. It runs a stock Android Oreo software and packs a 3,500mAh battery.

A Nokiapoweruser report speculates that hashtag #ExpectMore could be good for the company to describe Nokia 9, which is tipped to feature a Penta-lens camera setup and in-display fingerprint reader. Nokia 9 is rumoured to sport 5.9 inches OLED screen with QHD resolution and Snapdragon 845 processor under the hood. We can expect more information to come our way as the launch nears.
