How to Downgrade from iOS 14?

Downgrading is t always easiest option. Users consider downgrading as an option when y experience issues with existing iOS version, or y want to jailbreak ir iPhone and latest iOS version doesn’t support that. Keep in mind that re are some prerequisites to perform this action, most important of all being that Apple does t stop digitally signing previous iOS versions. If Apple stops digital signing, n downgrading to that version would be close to impossible. Here are prerequisites and steps on how to downgrade from iOS 14:

  • Apple signing version to be downgraded to is of utmost importance. IPSW for iOS 13 should be available. IPSW should also match iPhone device in use.
  • Users should have a backup of ir data before performing this action as this risks chances of users facing data loss.
  • Users will also need a backup already in place for version y are downgrading to, or ir iPhones will be formatted. If a user is downgrading from iOS 14 to iOS 13, y will need a backup of data in iOS 13 version already in place to carry over ir data during downgrade process.

Steps on How to downgrade from iOS 14 to iOS 13

  • Connect iPhone to computer
  • Open iTunes for Windows and Finder for Mac
  • Click on iPhone icon
  • w select Restore iPhone option and simultaneously keep left option key on Mac or left shift key on Windows pressed.
  • Users will be asked to which version y want to restore ir iPhone too. Users will have to select iOS 13.7 IPSW file as that’s only iOS 13 version that is still being digitally signed by Apple.
  • And that’s about it. w, user has to just wait for ir device to carry out this process. This can take up some time so user needs that have some patience as well.
