Oppo’s Re 10x Zoom is a crazy smartphone – in more ways than one. t only does it have a one-of-its-kind glass and metal sandwich design, it also crams top-tier hardware, like  Galaxys and iPhones of world. It doesn’t cost as much though, which instantly makes it stand out as a value flagship – sort of like OnePlus 7 Pro. re’s also a standard Re tagging along that tries to offer much of same deal, at an even more affordable price – sort of like OnePlus 7.  

Both Re and Re 10x Zoom are unique smartphones – but just to clarify, Re 10x Zoom is a flagship phone, while vanilla Re is more a mid-tier device. That said, both phones share same design langu, as well as some key traits – traits that set m apart from any or smartphone in market right w. We take a closer look.

-- Re 10x Zoom is a stunner to look at. It has a glass back (and an Aluminum frame) and is available two grient colours – Ocean Green and Jet Black. re’s Corning Gorilla Glass 6 on front paired with an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner and a pop-up selfie camera for an immersive all-screen experience. pop-up mechanism which looks a lot like a shark fin houses a 16MP camera. 

-- real star of show here is Oppo’s 10x ‘lossless’ zoom camera tech. Re 10x Zoom uses three cameras to achieve golden 10x zoom figure – a 48MP high-resolution main camera, a 120-degree ultra-wide camera and a periscopic telephoto camera. Toger, trio can cover a focal range of 16mm to 160mm – for a maximum of 10x zoom.

-- More precisely, Re 10x Zoom has a 48MP main camera (with Sony IMX586 sensor), an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 13MP telephoto camera. Both main camera and telephoto camera are optically stabilized. 

-- Re 10x Zoom takes things a step furr by supporting up to 60x digital zoom – which is claimed to be first of its kind in industry.

-- Ar interesting bit about Re is its all-screen bezel that comes sans any tch or display cut-out.  Oppo Re 10x Zoom has a 6.6-inch AMOLED display with a 1080p+ resolution – and an elevating selfie camera mechanism. 

-- Oppo’s shark-fin selfie camera is also a first for any smartphone – t only is it unique, Oppo says it’s durable as well. phone can recognise a fall, letting elevating selfie camera retract automatically, so you won’t dam it should you drop it by accident.

-- Re 10x Zoom is powered by Qualcomm’s top-of--line Snapdragon 855 processor with up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB stor under hood. 

-- phone runs Android Pie-based ColorOS 6 which is Oppo’s custom skin.

-- Re 10x Zoom packs a sizeable 4,065mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 (20W) fast charging through USB -C.

-- Oppo has launched Re 10x Zoom in India at a starting price of Rs 39,990 for base variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB stor, going all way to Rs 49,990 for top-end variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB stor.  

-- Oppo has also launched a vanilla Re that has same design and same shark-fin selfie camera but more toned-down specs. vanilla Re comes with a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a 1080p+ resolution, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor with up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB stor under hood. phone uses a 3,765mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 tech. On to optics, Re has a dual rear camera system consisting of one 48MP sensor (Sony IMX586) and ar 5MP sensor for depth sensing aka portrait photography. 

-- Oppo has launched vanilla Re in India for Rs 32,990 – this is for version with 8GB RAM and 256GB stor.
