iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max specs leak ahead of launch
Apple is expected to launch three new iPhones, replacing the iPhone XR, iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max - iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max.
Full specs of Apple’s next set of iPhones have leaked online ahead of their September 10 launch. And while we advise you to take them with a pinch of salt, many specifics fall in line with what’s already been known about them courtesy rumor mills – suggesting the real deal could be on very similar lines. Just like last year, Apple is expected to launch three new iPhones, replacing the iPhone XR, iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max and Apple is expected to call them iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max.
The iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max will reportedly be powered by Apple’s new A13 chip. All the three new models will reportedly have the same screen size and resolution as the outgoing models – with the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max successors retaining OLED panels, while the iPhone XR successor will still pack LCD. Apple maybe looking to update the haptics this time round with a new taptic engine – leaked specs suggest none of the new iPhones will support Apple’s 3D Touch.
The Pro variants are also said to support Apple Pencil, a first for any iPhone – that's what the leaked specs also suggest.
The current-generation iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max both have the same dual rear cameras. Their successors are said to sport three rear cameras all boasting of 12MP resolution. The iPhone 11 is said to come with two 12MP cameras. All the three upcoming iPhones are said to come with a 12MP front camera and an updated Face ID that would apparently allow users to unlock them at any angle.
Design wise, there will be some differences between the new iPhones – while the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max will reportedly come with frosted glass, the iPhone 11 will be made of standard glass.
All the three iPhones will reportedly come with updated batteries – 3,110mAh for iPhone 11, 3,190mAh for iPhone 11 Pro and 3,500mAh for iPhone 11 Pro Max. They’ll support ‘bilateral’ wireless charging which in simpler terms means they’ll be able to wirelessly charge devices like the AirPods. Furthermore, while the iPhone 11 is said to come with 4GB RAM, the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max will reportedly come with 6GB RAM.
