Youtuber has mentioned that drop protection can be attributed to design of new iPhones, making screen a lot more flush in way it is housed in body of phone. side stainless steel panels are hard to scratch up, but it's easy to scrape off some paint from those frames. YouTuber also put screen under a direct flame to check heat resistance and to ir surprise, dam was visible, and this was thanks to new ceramic shields.

iPhone 12 Pro has a strong frame and it can’t be bent by pressure, so iPhone has avoided bend gate with this one. Or reviewers believe that ceramic shield is a more malleable protective covering and that’s why it has such great drop protection but easy to scratch. rmal Glass screens are brittle and that’s why y are harder to scratch but easier to shatter.
