Days after tipping tentative launch window, long-time Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has predicted that Apple’s allegedly in works iPhone SE 2 will launch in March next year. According to Kuo, Apple will begin mass production of iPhone SE 2 in January and it will launch phone at end of March next year. This falls in line with Kuo’s previous prediction that suggested Apple will launch iPhone SE 2 early next year, that is sometime in Q1 2020.

iPhone SE 2 coming in March at a starting price of $399

As per Kuo, Apple will launch iPhone SE 2 at a starting price of $399 which roughly translates to Rs 28,500. This means, iPhone SE 2 should ideally arrive in India – should it arrive in India – at a price of around Rs 40,000, going by how se things usually work.

Rumours that iPhone SE 2 is in development have been going around since 2017 but two years down line, Apple is yet to make any sort of anuncement. But things may change soon. Kuo has h a good track record with all things Apple, and refore we have reason to believe, latest predictions can’t be too far off from truth.

Kuo has me several or predictions with regards to upcoming iPhone SE 2. iPhone SE was launched with an iPhone 5-like design with core hardware of iPhone 6S. idea was to offer a smaller, more affordable iPhone for developing markets like India. Kuo has predicted that iPhone SE 2 will have a design similar to  iPhone 8, but it will pack Apple A13 processor – which is also found inside iPhone 11. This means that iPhone SE 2 could be launched with an iPhone 8-like design with core hardware of iPhone 11.

Kuo has also predicted that upcoming iPhone SE 2 will pack a Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP) antenna sourced from Japan’s Murata Manufacturing Co. use of LCP antenna will boost network connectivity (wireless/cellular) in iPhone SE 2 hopefully entailing in speedier, more stable connections across board. It isn't clear if iPhone SE 2 will support 5G at this point of time.
