Netflix’s Mobile-Only Streaming Plans AT Rs 199 Now Live, Makes Subscribing And Unsubscribing To The Service Easier

The Rs 199 Netflix mobile plan includes a free 1 month trial for new users. Even tablets are supported - 1 at a time.

Netflix Mobile-Only plans for India is now officially live and costs just Rs 199 per month. This means that you could now stream all your favourite content on your mobile phones through Netflix, without having to fret over increased annual pricing costs; and unsubscribe after checking out for a month in case you do not wish to continue Netflix. The entire process of having to subscribe, consume, and unsubscribe has also now turned comparatively easier.  

How to avail the Netflix mobile-only plan in India? 

To avail, download the Netflix application (app), and choose the mobile subscription. Then, key-in your credentials. Here, you could even check out Netflix on your mobile phones for free for a month in case you are a new user.  

At this point in time, it is worth remembering that to watch Netflix in India after the one-month free subscription offer, users had to shell out Rs 499 a month for the standard package. Now, the Rs 199 plan seemingly provides much-needed relief to content consumers.  

In this regard, rival Amazon Prime video offers content at Rs 999 for an entire year or Rs 129 per month and this is applicable to mobile users as well, possessing valid Amazon accounts.  

Finally, Netflix’s latest mobile plan offers content streams only in SD, and not downloadable. For HD streams, you would still need to revert to the current-gen streaming plans.
